Fannie Mae Moving REO Management In-House

Fannie Mae will no longer use third parties to help sell its REO properties, a transition that is projected to be completed over the course of the next several months.



Fannie Mae has notified remaining vendors of the move so that they can make necessary adjustments. "With a reduced inventory of properties, Fannie Mae's in-house teams now have sufficient capacity to manage our REO properties without the assistance of third party asset management providers," Fannie Mae commented to HousingWire.
