NAWRB Headquarters is Relocating!

NAWRB is relocating to a sophisticated high-rise in Irvine, CA. We’re in the final moving stages, gracefully transferring our antique furniture and desks to our new location. Our team is excited to make the new dwelling our own, forging new relationships and performing great work together.

Connecting Our Members to Major Contracting Opportunities

NAWRB works with government agencies, federal officials, and members of Congress to advocate for the increased utilization of women-owned businesses on all levels. We truly want to see women and women-owned businesses succeed and actively work hard to promote this.

For this reason, we are very excited to announce the recent opportunities that we were able to afford select members that qualified. This includedincreased access to contracting opportunities with a particular GSE. Our goal is to use our strong relationships to further provide our members with business opportunities.

Women in Housing Financial Fitness Road Show and Military Women in Business

Veterans Preference, Inc.—a non-profit organization that expands financial education and outreach to the military community—collaborated with NAWRB to present the Women in Housing Financial Fitness Road Show and Military Women in Business training event.

The event took place on May 21 in beautiful San Diego, CA. The Military Women in Business training event featured Dana Wilde, author of Train Your Brain: How to Build a Million Dollar Business in Record Time and former Deputy District Attorney Scott Burnett who champions for the protection of business owners from frivolous litigation and over taxation.

Attendees learned about different types of SBA Loan programs, government contracts, and set-asides for veteran- and women-owned businesses. Representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) were in attendance and provided fruitful information regarding strategies to develop businesses, how to access capital, and the benefits of Women-Owned Business certification.

Preparing theSan Diego NAWRB Chapter

NAWRB’s San Diego Chapter will immerse itself in the local culture to create strong community ties to not only promote best practices and access to business resources but expand its outreach to residents. We will also continue to grow our relationship with local military personnel and strengthen our ties with the resilient military women in business that we were honored to meet at our May 21 event.
