July has already proven to be a monumental month for women in both business and the housing economy. Earlier this week, the top business professionals and most influential business women were announced for multiple news outlets and websites. Women maintained strong presences on all lists and reports.

Black Enterprise Magazine revealed their 42nd Annual Black Enterprise 100s list which features the nation’s largest black businesses in multiple sectors such as automotives, technology, healthcare, and media. The list also includes companies that have increased their revenues in recent years, employment leaders, and industries that experienced an overall growth.

This year, Black Enterprise focused on finding companies that have modified in order to expand their business. Woman business leader Janice Bryant Howroyd took the number 2 position on the list. Her company, Act-1 Group, is a staffing service located in Torrance, CA. Howroyd’s company achieved revenues of just over $2.2 billion.

Staffing services elsewhere were in the spotlight as well. In Missouri, the St. Louis Business Journal announced their honorees for their annual list of Most Influential Business Women. Minority woman business owner Carmen Jacob made the list. Jacob is the CEO of national staffing service NextGen Information Services which works with Fortune 500 companies in addition to organizations and businesses. Originally from Guatemala, she actively volunteers within her community and works with non-profit organizations.

Lastly, Real Trends—a real estate consulting company that compiles trends—released their list of Top Sales Professionals which is featured in The Wall Street Journal. NAWRB member Sherri Saad along with four other women made the top 15. The list is based off the 2013 transactions of real estate sales professionals. A newcomer to the top 15 section of the list is Rosario Terracciano of Resurrecting Real Estate. Repeat sales professionals include Sherri Saad of RE/MAX Leading Edge, Mary Berry of Century 21 All-Pro Realty, and Nancy Braun of Showcase Realty.
