Three Rules for Guiding Real Estate Professionals

1) You run a business and have liability with accountability to make sure your clients are protected. Make sure you are keeping them up to date with both local, national rules (from cradle to grave) in acquisitions and dispositions in real estate, as well as with local and national business associations you are a part of. 

2) Keep a positive energy level physically, mentally and financially for your team, staff and clients. What’s working today might not be the best tomorrow. What matters most is how you adapt to these changes and move forward. 

3) Create opportunities to be sustainable and give back to your community, both personally and professionally. Diversify your knowledge base, such as acquiring information about the aging population, heath, elder financial abuse, single mothers, and more. What are your community strengths and weaknesses that you can address? Leverage existing resources to carve out your unique strengths!

DeAnn Golden, Senior VP Managing Broker, at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties, earned her Georgia Real Estate License in 1995, shortly after completing her MBA Degree in Commercial Real Estate, Marketing and Strategic Management. She obtained her Associate Brokers’ license in 2000.  Although DeAnn’s real estate roots really extend back to 1978, helping her mother prepare for open houses the first year. DeAnn became a REALTOR®, then a Prudential and then a BHHS franchise owner, and is still actively listing and selling in her 40th year. She is the 2019 Atlanta REALTORS® Association President over a membership of 10,000+ REALTORS.

She primarily serves in senior leadership at her firm, overseeing company training and coaching. DeAnn is also involved in special initiatives and strategy on her company’s Senior Executive team of eight leaders. Because of a passion to ensure she stays relevant to the true needs of today’s agents, DeAnn also directly manages over 250 agents in 3 locations in her firm at BHHSGA of 24 offices and 1600 agents. She is charged with recruiting, training and retaining, and has proven successful turning offices around from deficit to profitability. She is known for launching successful agent productivity programs that agents love and growing their business with fun to bring the dream of homeownership home
