The American Express OPEN for Government Contracts Awards Program is now accepting applications for 2015. OPEN’s sixth annual awards honor small business owners for their accomplishments in government contracting. Nominations are currently open in the following four categories:
- Contractor of the Year
- Women Government Contractor of the Year
- Teaming Government Contractor of the Year
- On-the-Rise Government Contractor of the Year
Access to capital is crucial to all businesses, especially small ones just getting off the ground. Government contracting provides excellent growth opportunities for these businesses and is frequently an overlooked source of revenue.
If you know a small business owner who has had distinguished success in government contracting, NAWRB encourages you to nominate them for this year’s awards. In addition to recognition, these awards could prove useful when securing future business.
Nominees will be reviewed by experts on growth, community involvement and strategy. Winners will be announced at an American Express OPEN for Government Contracts event in 2016.
To nominate yourself or a fellow small business owner, you must download and complete the application form and submit it to governmentcontracting@openforum.com. When applying to more than one category, OPEN asks that you rank the priority of the categories for which you’d like to be considered. Nominees are only eligible to win in one category and applications must be received by 12 noon EST on November 15, 2015.
