Women in the Housing Continuum

Irvine, CA – The National Association of Women in Real Estate Businesses (NAWRB) is proud to announce the release of NAWRB Magazine’s Volume 4 Issue 6!

This has been a pivotal year in securing viable conversation for professional Women in the Housing Continuum, our theme for this issue. We review the limited data of women in boardrooms and the greater effect of bringing C-suite women to the table.

Our sheCENTER(FOLD), Dottie Herman, is the president and CEO of Douglas Elliman, the fourth largest real estate firm in the country. From her time as a single mother to turning down multi-million dollar offers for her company, she shares her trailblazing journey with our readers.

Among our notable highlights of 2015 were receiving the APEX Award for Publication Excellence recognizing our international magazine; the recent announcement of our Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council (NDILC), dedicated to bringing women to the forefront with accountability and results; and our approval as a Freddie Mac HomeSteps Diversity Supplier.

NWBC Salutes Women Veteran Business Owners

The first week of November is set aside for National Veteran’s Small Business Week and this year, the National Women’s Business Council (NWBC) is honoring women veteran business owners. Women who have served in the military are heroes, and when they decide to start a business that can employ other women or provide employment to their local communities they set themselves apart in a special league of their own.
